What is AVSEC?
Aviation Security, also known as AVSEC, is the system of preventive policies, techniques and procedures used to protect passengers, crew, ground staff, airport users, aircraft and airport facilities against unlawful interference.
What is an AVSEC certificate?
The AVSEC certificate is issued by an AESA-accredited instructor and confirms that the worker has successfully completed the course.
How much does the AVSEC course cost?
The AVSEC course costs 28,10€ excluding VAT.
Who is this course for?
The course is intended for professionals who need access to airport Security Restricted Areas, including airline staff, airport service providers, commercial tenants and other airport workers.
How long does the course take?
The average completion time is 1-2 hours.
Is the course available in English and Spanish?
Yes. The AVSEC course is available in English and Spanish, so you can complete the training in your preferred language.
Can I retake the exam if I fail?
Yes. Assessment attempts are free.

Certificate
When will I receive my certificate?
You receive your certificate immediately after passing the exam.
If I lose my certificate, how can I request a copy?
You can request it by writing to info@avsec.info.
How long is the certificate valid?
The certificate is valid for up to 5 years. If you do not perform related duties for 6 months, refresher training may be required before resuming those duties.
